Shamrock Activist Value Fund Discloses 5% Stake in Agile Software (AGIL)

In a 13D filing on Agile Software Corporation (Nasdaq: AGIL) after the close Monday, Shamrock Activist Value Fund disclosed a 5.01% stake (2.85 million shares) in the company. Shamrock said it has no current plans or proposals with respect to the Company or its securities of the types enumerated in paragraphs (a) through (j) of Item 4 to the form Schedule 13D promulgated under the Act.

According to the fund's website, Shamrock has utilized its activist strategy to invest over $725 million of investment capital in 28 companies. Shamrock's activist investment philosophy relies of finding "deep value" companies to invest in and then buying influential equity stakes that permit "responsible activism."

Roy Disney is Chairman of Shamrock Capital Advisors and Stanley Gold is Chief Executive of Shamrock Capital Advisors and President of Shamrock Holdings. Roy Disney is best know for his fight to oust two Disney executives, Ron Miller in 1984 and most recently Michael Eisner in 2005 with the help of Gold. Both are former Disney Directors.

Michael J. McConnell and Kent McCammon are the Managing Directors of the firm's Activist Value Fund.
