Shamrock Activist Value Raises Its Stake in TNS (TNS) to 8.77%

In an amended 13D filingafter the close Thursday on TNS Inc. (NYSE: TNS), Shamrock Activist Value Fund disclosed a 8.77% stake (2.12 million shares) in the company. This is up from the 7.63% stake the firm disclosed in a April 13D/A filing.

According to Stockpickr.com, "Shamrock has utilized its activist strategy to invest over $825 million of investment capital in 30 companies and currently has $925 million of committed capital. Shamrock's activist investment philosophy relies on finding "deep value" companies to invest in and then buying influential equity stakes that permit "responsible activism." Link to Portfolio
