Sun Capital Accumulates 8.4% Stake in Georgia Gulf Corp (GGC)

In a 13D filing after the close Monday on Georgia Gulf Corporation (NYSE: GGC), SCSF Equities, LLC (Sun Capital) disclosed an 8.4% stake (2.88 million shares) in the company. The firm did not show a stake in GGC for the quarter ended December 31, 2006.

The firm said it may buy or sell shares the company's stock and may seek to to hold discussions with representatives, but currently has no present plans or proposals that relate to or that would result in any of the actions specified in clauses (a) through (j) of Item 4 of Schedule 13D.
