Kerkorian's Tracinda Said York Resigns from GM Board; Will Not Acquire More Shares

In an amended 13D filing on General Motors Corporation (NYSE: GM), 9.9% holder Kirk Kerkorian's Tracinda Corporation disclosed that Tracinda received a letter from Jerome B. York stating that Mr. York had resigned his position as a director of General Motors. York was Tracinda's representative on GM's board.

Tracinda also said it has decided not to pursue the acquisition of additional shares of General Motors common stock. This is an abrupt change from just a few weeks ago when they noted they would be interesting in acquiring another 12 million shares of GM.
